Access

The cottages are not suitable for wheelchair access.

Hopbine Cottage is on one level and there is a step from the entrance to the front door.  There is also a step from the sitting room through the French windows to the private patio.

The access to Courtyard Cottage is level from its entrance patio.  It has the living area on the ground floor and the bedrooms and bathroom are on the first floor. Access to the first floor is via a "dog's-leg" staircase with 14 x 19 cms tread stairs.  There is an additional handrail at the stair direction change, for safety.  In both cottages, there is a standard bath with the addition of a shower at one end.  The showers are not "walk-in" and access is via the bath side.  There is a grab-rail for safety in the shower area and also handles, to assist access, on the bath sides. 

The toilets and their access are standard.
